The Cooyar Show is one of the first shows of the Darling Down's agricultural show season and it’s always a really great family day out.

Each year special attractions are organized for the event. Show Day is a full day of entertainment for the whole family including 5-for-$5 amusement rides, free face painting for the kids, Moovin' Balloonin', a big chainsaw competition, market stalls, show bags and music, and pavilion.

This year along with the traditional events, the morning will feature the Stud Beef and Led Steer/Heifer Competitions along with the Young Judges & Paraders Competition. The Ute Muster judging will commence at 11.00 am with State Ute Muster Co-Ordinator, Manda Stevens judging.

The afternoon will feature a working horse display, barrel race, a Mini Horse Derby and a Smash-up Derby. Aussie FMX (motorcycles) will entertain in the main arena with some of the biggest tricks in the country including the 'backflip'.The evening will be capped off with the Bull Ride and giant Fireworks display. A licensed bar operates throughout the day and into the night, while the Show’s well-stocked food canteen and BBQ are guaranteed to satisfy any hunger pangs.

Following the Grand Parade at 12.15 pm, the Show will officially be opened at 12.30 pm by Rob Cook. A one-time professional bull-rider, in 2008 Rob was injured in a helicopter crash which left him paralysed from the neck down. Rob is a Nuffield Scholor, best selling author and Australia Day Award recipient.

Entry to the Show is only $20 for adults and $5 for high school students (PRIMARY SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN ARE FREE) and everyone is welcome to come along!
